We have discussed the reasons for a hull potential test. Anodes and all underwater metal corrosion health depends on a properly bonded system. This vessel had a very poor hull potential number. We found replaced strainers and the bonding system was cut. This was a daisy chain type system and the total system was separated. We also found the rudder not bonded. After we corrected the above items, the hull potential returned to the acceptable level.
